dead body was found in Maharashtra’s Thane district with multiple wounds. The police added that they have not been able to identify the man yet.
According to the Shil-Daighar police, a passerby notified them about the body after he spotted it under a bridge in Davle village on Sunday. Police suspect a robbery gone wrong after they found a paver block and a car near the body.
The police have registered a case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 302 (murder) and 397 (robbery or dacoity with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt), a police official said.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem while efforts to apprehend the killers are underway.
Last week, a man was attacked with a knife and robbed at Diva station. The victim was traveling alone in the compartment for physically challenged people when the incident took place. Earlier, a 19-year-old rickshaw driver was arrested by the police for robbing a minor’s gold chain in Thane’s Dombivli.
